Eco-Drive by Citizen is a type of watch that is Powered by Light. Each Eco-Drive Watch has a Solar Panel directly under the Dial which charges the Capacitor Cell. These Watches are leading the watch game because of the ability to turn any kind of light, whether it be Natural or incandescent, into power and store it for up to two months without recharge, unlike Wind-up and Accutron models. 

Citizen Watch Company also offers Quartz Watches, which run off a regular button cell that need replacing about once a year. These watches typically have a lower price point compared to the Eco-Drive Models.
